United States – The enthusiasm for artificial intelligence

The enthusiasm for artificial intelligence in the United States remains strong despite ongoing concerns about regulation. OpenAI, in partnership with Oracle and SoftBank, has unveiled plans to establish its first data center site in Texas. This move comes under the ambitious $500 billion Stargate project, marking a major milestone in the country’s AI infrastructure development.
The surge in AI adoption is evident in the rapid growth of ChatGPT, now used by more than 700 million users each week. At the same time, U.S. housing sales saw a sharp increase in August, rising by 20.5% month-over-month — the largest monthly gain in three years, driven mainly by falling mortgage rates.
Following these positive economic signals, Goldman Sachs revised its U.S. GDP growth forecast for Q3 from 2.2% to 2.3%, reflecting resilience in both technology and housing sectors.
